How can I return my Kookaburra order?

Can I exchange my Kookaburra order?
The best way to exchange your order is to simply place a new order for the item you want, and return the item you already have.

How do I return a defective or faulty product?
We stand behind all of our products. If your product is defective or faulty, and it’s been more than 30 days since your purchase, start a return and send your item back.

How can I return something purchased from a different store?
We can only accept returns for products purchased from www.kookaburrasport.co.nz. For any other purchases, please return these to the original dealer with proof of purchase.

Is my product covered under warranty?
Please see our warranty terms below. 

 

Exceptions to our Returns Policy

Equipment such as cricket bats, hockey sticks and protective equipment must be unused and in original condition with tags attached. Footwear and apparel must be unwashed and unworn with tags attached. Products not meeting these criteria will be exempt from return.​

Warranty Does Not Cover
  Kookaburra Cricket Bats

 

 12 Months
  • Please review our expert tips on how to prepare and preserve a bat here first.

 

  • Please take note of the knocking in guide as improper preparation and care will lead to premature cracking.

 

  • Adding protection such as an Armour Tec is highly recommended for enhanced longevity.

 

  • Bats are made of natural material & have an incredibly hard task of hitting a solid cricket ball repeatedly. Even the most prepared bats will eventually show wear and does not necessarily render the bat faulty or defective.

 

  • Wherever possible, damaged bats will be repaired by an authorised Kookaburra repairer.
  •  Yorker Damage to Toe of the bat.
  •  Damaged due to lack of knocking in/playing in.
  •  Damage resulting from bats being machine prepared.
  •  Damage due to poor preparation and maintenance.
  •  Damage due to moisture, over-oiling or heat.
  •  Damage from non-leather, non-cricket or composite balls.
  •  Improper use (hitting with anything other than what the product is used for).
  • Damage to protective coverings (e.g. toe guard / facing).
  •  Bats purchased outside of New Zealand.
Kookaburra Hockey Sticks 12 Months
  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults arising from normal use.
  • Damage to the grip
  • Wear to KCF playing face
  • Chipped resin from use
Kookaburra Cricket and Hockey Bags & Protective 6 Months
  • Warranty covers a split seam or stitching, broken zipper and wheel faulty

 

  • If damage is too great within the 6 months, the protective/bags can qualify for an exchange, refund or credit.
  • Wear & tear or heavy use.
  • Punctures caused by sharp objects, e.g. cricket spikes and stumps.
Kookaburra Cricket Shoes & Hockey Shoes 6 Months
  • Warranty covers a split seam or stitching, spike blow-out or separation of sole.

 

  • If damage is too great within that 6-month period, the shoes may qualify for an exchange, refund, or credit.
  • Wear & tear or heavy use.
Kookaburra Cricket Helmets 12 Months
  • Warranty covers size adjuster (dial) or buckle breakage

 

  • If damage is major within that 12-month period, the cricket helmet may qualify for an exchange, refund, or credit.
  •  Damage caused by impact of a ball.
  •  Missing helmet nuts
Kookaburra Cricket & Hockey Balls N/A
  • A replacement or refund will be given when a product fault is major. Whether it is major or not is determined by the ball experts at Kookaburra Sport.
  
Babolat Tennis Rackets 12 Months
  • Babolat offers a one-year manufacturer’s defect warranty stating that the racket is free from defect in material or workmanship within this timeframe.  This warranty is only valid for purchases made directly from Kookaburra or authorised Babolat dealers.  All warrantied rackets must be returned to the authorised dealer with proof of purchase.  
  • Broken string
  • Worn / loose grips
  • Rackets that have multiple breaks, show signs of impact on the frame, signs of visible wear, impact on butt cap, bumper or grommet, or visible frame fibers fall under normal wear and tear and are not covered by the warranty.
